Here’s the dirty secret of gospel ministry:
Most of the work is not very instagram worthy, it’s not glamorous. But in the mundane moments the mystery of the divine working within his creation gains some definition. Like fog lifting off mountains it’s only as you are present for a while that you start to see the shape of something behind all the fog and can see the looming reality that the kingdom really has come. The gospel is true. And we really do find freedom, forgiveness, and fresh starts in failures. That a new day has really dawned and communities can form that faithfully bear witness to the good news of Jesus. Love changes things.
