Over the last few weeks we have been examining the life of Jesus through the lens of ‘God moved in.” That God took on flesh and blood and dwelt among us. Or as Eugene Peterson once penned in his paraphrase: The Word became flesh and blood and moved into the neighborhood.” We have been encouraged in John’s gospel to look at the life of Jesus and see that He is in fact not distant, but close. We see God moving into different spaces with the hope that as we take up our role in the story of God we can be encouraged to do the same.
