The Psalms give us a way of learning to see the world as it is and give us language to walk with God through it.
They beckon us into the long memory of God’s people and teach us to recognize the God who creates, rescues, judges, forgives, and remains faithful. As we pray them together, our vision is slowly reshaped.. We begin to see God’s world more clearly and to understand our lives within the larger story of what he is doing- as nuanced and confusing as that may be at times.
These four questions are a way of paying attention to that story and allowing the Psalms to form the way we live within it.
May our imaginations and our hearts be captivated by the God of the Psalms this summer.
