Holy Week this year was different than any church anticipated it would be. Every year our congregation has been in existence prior to 2020 we have gathered for Good Friday to sit in the scandalous grief of the cross, and gathered again on Easter Sunday to rejoice in the empty tomb! Each year we have also been blessed to celebrate resurrected life with baptisms. This year, we were forced to gather virtually due to the stay-at-home orders surrounding COVID-19. What a vivid display of the brokenness in this world - the very brokenness Jesus came to redeem! Though this year looked different, the truth of the resurrection is the same. He is risen! He is risen indeed.
